In 2020, as we went through critical moments worldwide due to COVID-19, our pace of life was paralyzed. Ideas began to emerge for an immigrant family with Colombian roots, for whom being in a foreign country often entailed fear and frustration.
That is when Andres Lopera decided to try to leverage the profession he's known all his life, the skills he learned as a child by inheritance from his family. He was in a country where people buy meat in the supermarket and base their choices on appearances instead of knowledge about cuts.
He saw the opportunity to bring fresh meat to people's doors, portioning it according to customer needs and vacuum-packing it for better preservation.
